Susan Anderson holds a doctor of philosophy in Educational Psychology and has over 40 years experience as an educator. She is the Coordinator of Undergraduate Studies, Programme Coordinator and lecturer in Educational Psychology and Special Education in the School of Education at the University of the West Indies, Mona.
Sumaya Frick holds a BFA, an MPA in Public Administration and Public Policy, is certified in Collaborative Governance, and is a PhD Student in Education Leadership, Policy and Practice at the University of Arizona. Sumaya’s research is Wicked Problems in Macro Education Policy. The title of her presentation at the 3rd International Conference on TVET in the Caribbean reads: "TVET Contributions toward Education Policy, Economic Sustainability, Development and Poverty Abatement in a Globalized Economy."
Stafford A. Griffith is the Director of the School of Education and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Education, University of the West Indies, Mona Campus. Professor Griffith holds graduate degrees with specialized study in research, measurement and evaluation, and curriculum development. He also has a LLB degree and has completed graduate studies in Political Science and Development Studies. He has over 46 years of combined work experience, over 34 years at professional and senior management levels in fields covering educational measurement and evaluation, program planning and management, curriculum development and teaching.
Shaun Simpson is head of the Visual Arts Department at the Waterford High School. He is a graduate of the Mico Teachers’ College and holds a Bachelor in Guidance and Counseling from the International University of the Caribbean (IUC). He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and Workforce Development at the University of the West Indies, Mona.
Simon Roberts is the Chief Information Officer of GraceKennedy Limited and the Chair of the Group’s Biztech Council, with responsibility for all aspects of the organization’s information technology and systems.
He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Metallurgical and Materials Sciences) from the University of Toronto and a Master of Applied Science (Management Sciences) from the University of Waterloo. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada.
Tashfeen Ahmad expanded his understanding of psychology at Harvard University and joined the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Jamaica, in May 2013, with many years of international general management experience. He is teaching international business management, management of change, production and operations management, productivity and quality management.
Tricia Gilkes holds a MEd in Educational Administration and a BSc in General Agriculture from the University of the West Indies. She also gained a Diploma in Agriculture from the Eastern Caribbean Institute and Forestry, and Advanced Diploma in Technology Education from the Mount Saint Vincent University, Canada. She is currently a Technology Education Curriculum Officer the Ministry Education, Trinidad & Tobago.
Winston Fletcher has full technological certification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, a diploma in Industrial Management and an MBA in International Business. He is a graduate of UTech. Jamaica and UWI, and currently a senior member of staff of the HEART Trust/NTA.
Witcliffe Doyley is a trained teacher who currently lectures Hospitality and Tourism related courses at tertiary institutions in Jamaica. He is a Chef De Cuisine, certified by Culinary Institute of America. Mr. Doyley is the author of the book “A clear vision does matter”. Mr. Doyley is a TVET practitioner since 2005, and has a special interest in developing and maintaining culinary standards.
Yewande Lewis-Fokum is a lecturer at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus in the areas of Language and Literacy. Her research interests include the teaching of English literacy in a Creole-speaking environment, teacher training, and issues of language and power in society using Critical Discourse Analysis as both a theory and a methodology.
